Member Spotlight: CMR Focus and Growth
Hello, I’m Clare – the heart behind Focus and Growth Coaching and new founder of Conscious Entrepreneurs.
I help conscious entrepreneurs, like you, build sustainable, values-driven businesses that work for you, your customers, and the world. Whether you’re just starting out or feeling stuck after a few years in, I offer practical yet compassionate support to bring clarity, direction, and balance to your business journey. Together, we’ll refine your purpose, align your messaging, and design a path forward that avoids burnout and prioritises impact, ethics, and joy.
I’ve spent over 10 years supporting small businesses and 20+ years immersed in strategy, systems, and storytelling, so I know the challenges of running a business that truly cares. My mantra? Don’t hide, show you, and stay balanced. You don’t need to be the strongest, smartest, or loudest person in the room to succeed – just someone with a strong heart and the courage to keep going. I create safe, reflective spaces where you can reconnect with your values, rediscover your motivation, and take intentional steps towards growth.
If you’re navigating overwhelm, questioning what’s next, or simply ready to shape your big dreams into meaningful action, I’m here to support you – as your coach, your sounding board, and your partner in progress.

Share an interesting fact or something that people might not already know about you:
An interesting fact about me is that I’m extremely sensitive—both in a serious and a slightly funny way. I have an extraordinary sense of smell (trust me, I’ll notice an un-rinsed dishcloth a mile away), and my hearing is sharp… though occasionally selective! I’m also incredibly particular about clothing—this isn’t about fashion, but comfort. Labels? Cut them out. Itchy fabrics? Absolutely not. Socks? Too tight is a dealbreaker. And the best part? My priorities around all of this can change daily—sometimes hourly! It’s a mix of quirks that makes life entertaining and keeps me on my toes.
What inspired you to start your business, and how has your journey been so far?
I was inspired to start my business because I saw so many business owners struggling to balance growth with their personal values and wellbeing—something I deeply care about. I wanted to create a space where entrepreneurs could thrive, not just survive, while building businesses that make a meaningful impact.
The journey so far has been a mix of successes and challenges. The successes are in the breakthroughs—seeing clients gain clarity, confidence, and direction, and witnessing the growth of the Conscious Entrepreneurs community. The challenges come in staying steady during quieter periods or when progress feels slow. But I’ve learned that the way forward, in all weathers, is to keep showing up with purpose, leaning on my values as my anchor, and celebrating the small wins along the way.
This journey isn’t just about building a business; it’s about creating something meaningful that inspires others to do the same.

What values drive you and your business and how do they shape the decisions you make?
Creativity – not just artistic but moments of clarity for an idea, whether daydreaming or actively using your imagination. We are all creative, we just have to let it free. This gives me the opportunity to look at the human behind the business, and the business, with a sensitivity that uncovers what makes you, well – you!
Fun – being playful, letting serious take a back seat, finding easy ways to have fun. Nothing makes the business of life easier than enjoyment. And thinking with a smile rather than a frown, certainly brings a positive energy to a challenge or goal.
Loyalty – the desire to offer and enjoy a sense of support or allegiance. We’re not in this alone and we should consistently offer time to others. It could just be to listen. And that’s a definite superpower, listening. I hear a lot, which means I can offer a lot in coaching support.
Collaboration – this for me is working together in the creation of something. Not always for a financial reward. But for the joy of sharing, learning, taking the lead, taking a step back. All of my life I have surrounded myself with friends and collaborators. It’s how I get stuff done.
What has been your biggest challenge as a Conscious Entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?
One of the biggest challenges I face as a conscious entrepreneur is the feeling of frustration when I see individuals or businesses not recognising or prioritising the impact they have—whether on the environment, society, or their communities. I believe every small action matters, and it can feel disheartening when that mindset isn’t shared. However, I try to use this as motivation. It pushes me to lead by example, share knowledge, and create opportunities for others to see how manageable and meaningful positive change can be. It’s about inspiring progress, not perfection.

What’s one thing you’ve learned about yourself through running your business?
That I can’t do it all. Well not at the same time, or right away. I’m much better at prioritising. When energy is high I work with it, and when it’s low, ask for help or take a step back, relax, reset.
How does your business make a positive impact on your customers, community, or the environment?
My business is built on the belief that small, intentional actions can create meaningful change. For my customers, I provide the space, support, and tools they need to align their business goals with their values—helping them grow sustainably and with purpose. In the wider community, I aim to foster connection and collaboration through workshops, events, and initiatives that encourage ethical entrepreneurship and mutual support. Beyond this, I integrate environmental awareness into everything I do, from promoting mindful business practices to championing causes that repair and give back. My focus is always on helping others make progress that benefits not just their businesses, but their lives, communities, and the world around them.
How has (or will) being part of the Conscious Entrepreneurs membership supported you in your business journey?
Being part of the Conscious Entrepreneurs membership has provided me with a much-needed sense of connection and belonging. It’s reassuring to be surrounded by like-minded people who understand the unique challenges of building an ethical, purpose-driven business. The support, resources, and conversations within the community have not only inspired fresh ideas but also given me the confidence to stay true to my values, even when the journey feels tough. It’s a space that reminds me I’m not alone in wanting to create a business that prioritises impact alongside success, and that’s invaluable for my growth and motivation.
What’s one piece of advice you’d share with someone considering joining the membership?
If you’re considering joining the Conscious Entrepreneurs membership, my biggest piece of advice is to show up and get involved. This membership isn’t just something to sign up for—it’s a community to be part of. Attend the events, engage in discussions, and make use of the resources and connections available. The more you put in, the more you’ll get out of it. It’s a space that thrives on collaboration and shared experiences, so don’t be afraid to lean in, ask questions, and share your own journey. That’s where the real value and transformation happen.

What’s next for your business? Are there any exciting projects or goals you’re working on?
What’s next for my business is continuing to build and grow my coaching practice while developing the Conscious Entrepreneurs community. My focus is on supporting business owners to align their work with their values, helping them navigate challenges and achieve sustainable growth. Alongside this, I’m excited to expand Conscious Entrepreneurs as a space where purpose-driven individuals can connect, learn, and thrive together. Both parts of my business share the same goal: empowering people to build businesses that make a positive impact while staying true to themselves.
Final thoughts…
One thing I’d like to share is how much I value the mindset that every small action counts. As entrepreneurs, it’s easy to focus only on the big goals, but I’ve learned that real progress often comes from small, intentional steps taken consistently. Whether it’s having an honest conversation with yourself, simplifying a process, or connecting with someone new—these little moments add up to real impact over time.
Through my coaching and my involvement in Conscious Entrepreneurs, I aim to champion this perspective and remind others that you don’t have to get everything perfect or done overnight. Showing up as you are, with the intention to grow, connect, and make a difference, is enough. That’s what makes this community so special—we’re here to celebrate and support each other on the journey, no matter how small the step forward.
